This year’s meeting will once again have a central focus on areas of scientific, medical technical (SMT), and advocacy. From implementation challenges for the new bacterial guidance to the operational complexities entailed in gender identification, the SMT Forum will focus on current key issues which will ultimately affect blood center bottom-lines. In addition, advocacy issues will address both internal and external needs ranging from health policy and reimbursement to donor motivations.
